Unchorlight Kenya Limited (UNK) achieved a dispatch of 300 bikes for BodaBoda riders in Kenya last month (December 2022), a year after the first launch of its rent-to-own finance service.
Renji Morita, CEO of UNK, celebrated this with comments as follows:
- We are delighted to announce this achievement and thank all stakeholders including customers for making this happen.
- Last year was a tough time for us with the crackdown and regulation changes and we also took a big step forward to launch a new service after the completion of the PoC (Proof of Concept) period.
- I am very proud of our team who contributed to the achievement and continue to support all of our riders through these challenges and big changes.
- We will continue to improve our service and expect a big leap this year for more riders to get their own bikes and a strong community.
